Great Lakes Water Authority (GLWA) Water Works Park (WWP) Pilot Plant
The Great Lakes Water Authority (GLWA) Water Works Park (WWP) Field Station provides opportunities for studying sustainable practices and new technologies for water treatment that protect human and environmental health.
This field station is a collaboration of Great Lakes Water Authority and Wayne State University.
The Pilot Plant allows Wayne State University and GLWA to collaborate on research and to further the study of treatment methods. Current research includes analysis of contaminants of emerging concern and enhancing the drinking water monitoring system along the Huron to Erie Corridor. A summary of our research can be found in their 2017 Annual Report.
